Dr. J. Randall Smith
Dr. J. Randall Smith graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BA in molecular biology in 1967. He then attended the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, where he graduated in 1971 and was inducted into the OKU National Dental Honor Society. While at the University of Tennessee, Dr. Smith was president of the Deans' Honor Society. After receiving his M.S. in orthodontics at UT he moved to Tullahoma and established his practice there in June of l974.
Dr. Smith is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and has represented Tennessee on the Board of Directors for the Southern Association of Orthodontists. A past president of the Tennessee Associations of Orthodontists, he is now serving as a member of the House of Delegates in the American Association of Orthodontists.
A member of the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists, Dr. Smith is a past president of both the Tullahoma Noon Rotary Club and Lakewood Golf and Country Club. He continues to serve as Chairman of the Tullahoma Tree Board.
The American College of Dentists was founded in 1920 to recognize dentists who have made significant contributions to the advancements of dentistry. Fellowship in the College is by invitation and based on demonstrated leadership and contributions to the dental profession and society. Approximately 3.5% of dentists are Fellows of the American College of Dentistry. The International College of Dentists, an honorary organization for the recognition of outstanding and meritorious service to the professional community, presented Dr. Smith with a membership plaque, a gold lapel pin and a gold key symbolic of this Fellowship.
In 1977 Dr. Richard D. Fewell joined the practice, and together they practice as Drs. Smith and Fewell Orthodontists in Tullahoma, Manchester, Monteagle, Fayetteville, and Winchester.
Dr. Richard Fewell
Dr. Richard Fewell received his Bachelor of Science degree from Lipscomb University, and is an honors graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry. After serving as a Captain in the U.S. Army Dental Corps, Dr. Fewell received a Masters of Science degree in Orthodontics from the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry. As a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists and the Tennessee Association of Orthodontists, Dr. Fewell regularly participates in advanced education courses in order to provide the latest innovations for his patents. He is active in his community where he served on the Tullahoma City School Board for twelve years, serving three years as Chairman. He is a past alderman for the city of Tullahoma and former President of the Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Chris Fogarty
Dr. Chris Fogarty graduated with honors from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and received his Certificate and Master’s Degree in Orthodontics from the University of Oklahoma. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists and the Tennessee Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Fogarty and his wife have two daughters, Claire and Leah.
